Oasis Reunion Stage Build

CLIENT: Star Group Live
LOCATION: Heaton Park, Manchester / Wembley Stadium, London

We’ve had to keep this one underwraps for sometime. ‘Whats The Story’ I hear you cry. Well ‘Lets Look Back in Anger’ at this very exciting assignment.

Star Group Live had been tasked with the very prestigious task of designing and deploying the innovative stage for the UK leg of the Oasis reunion tour. Our job was to document the construction of this at both Heaton Park, Manchester and Wembley Stadium, London.

The sheer scale of the UK tour stage is something to behold and to see how quickly the whole thing comes together on site is really something else.

Our assignment was to not only photograph and video the story of the build for a case study but also to capture the stages unique side bunkers, open sides, innovative ‘Wonderwall’ windbreak, cantilevered LED walls, key components, construction techniques and capture the team doing their work and to get those dramatic contextual shots of the stage in situ for marketing material.

Heaton Park, Manchester is huge open park exposed on top of a hill and boy was it windy. Over the two days on site we photographed Star put together largest meccano set on earth. A few weeks later we were off to Londons iconic Wembley stadium to photograph the now reconfigured stage built under the great welly arch.

We were asked to keep this images under wraps until the UK dates came to end and we so pleased to able to share these with you. We are proud to have been able to document this historic build for Star Group Live.
