Neon Global Exhibition Space

CLIENT: Star Group Live
LOCATION: Battersea Park, London

From December 2024 through to its opening in May 2025, we documented the construction of a brand-new exhibition space in the heart of Battersea Park, set against the iconic backdrop of Battersea Power Station in south London.

The contractor, Star Group Live, was commissioned to design and construct a fully demountable and relocatable two-storey structure for Singaporean event company Neon Global. The space would host their London-based interactive exhibitions, launching with the Jurassic Park Experience. Our brief was to comprehensively document the build from the ground up — inside and out — capturing each stage with detailed photography, video, and drone footage, and ultimately producing a four-minute case study film featuring interviews with key stakeholders.

This has been our largest and most logistically complex project to date, requiring 15 site visits across all seasons — navigating train strikes, the London Underground, and even protected peregrine falcons. Operating drones in London, especially near Battersea, brings significant challenges: the site lies within the flight path of the heliport and is not far from London City Airport. Add to that the presence of protected wildlife and high-profile residents with legitimate privacy concerns, and it became essential to work closely and transparently with park authorities and contractors to maintain a smooth and professional working relationship throughout.

We had exclusive access to the site throughout the project, operating under strict health and safety protocols with risk assessments and PPE in place at all times. It has been a fascinating opportunity to gain a unique, behind-the-scenes insight into the delivery of a large-scale, innovative project of this kind.

Our photography not only serves a marketing purpose but also provides internal reference documentation. In eight years’ time, the structure will be disassembled and relocated to a new site in the Middle East, making it essential that we captured not just eye-catching visuals, but also detailed close-ups of construction techniques, materials, and key components.

Our thanks go to the teams at Battersea Park and Neon Global for their support and collaboration on site.
