One of the great things about this industry is the chance to work in some incredible locations—and this one was something special. Being inside the dressage arena at the UK leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour felt like a real privilege. Set in the historic grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea, right on the banks of the Thames and opposite Battersea Park, it’s a venue that mixes elegance, heritage, and world-class sport.
This year’s brief was to capture a full set of visuals—photos and a 30-second video—that could be used for Star’s internal marketing, social channels, and client case studies. As always, the content also serves as a valuable archive for future planning and delivery. Star was responsible for the design and build of the hospitality, seating, and media infrastructure for this leg of the tour—before the entire setup was packed down and shipped to Saudi Arabia the following week. We arrived early on shoot day to capture the structures both in pristine condition and in full use during competition. Having experience in sports photography meant we could capture dynamic moments in the arena as well as clean architectural shots.
